OUR COMMITMENT
- We work to our parent company's ISO20121 certification standard
- We seek to recycle all of our event waste in partnership with local authorities
- All waste will be separated in line with local authority objectives
- We use digital methods for participants to sign waivers
- We encourage all participants to use re-usable water bottles and cups.
- We use re-usable zip ties on all our branding
- We ask all staff to remind participants and guests to recycle
- We promote cycling as a mode of sustainable transportation
- We use string instead of zip-ties for number plates
- All branding is printed on PVC-free materials and will be reused
GOING FORWARD
- Trader management process and sustainability guidelines across all vendors
- Recyclable food containers; no single-use plastic
- Regular reports of our carbon emissions
- Hire local workforce at events to minimise travel requirements
- Improve power efficiency to reduce energy consumption where possible
- There is a 'Turn off' policy when generators are not being used i.e. overnight
- There are waste stations with individual recycling streams across site
- Use public transport options or travel together if possible such as a bike.
TOGETHER
We believe a bicycle is a better mode of transport than a car, where practically possible. It reduces the cost of travelling and, therefore, carbon emissions, and helps to keeps us all fit, both mentally and physically.
